• Proactively identify potential issues by monitoring system health, analyzing logs, and implementing preventative measures.
• Participate in incident reviews to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement of SRE processes.
• Work closely with Level 1 support engineers to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain consistent support quality.
• Stay up-to-date on Regnology's products, infrastructure, and industry best practices in SRE.
• Strong focus on automation: 
  1. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline incident response, system monitoring, and operational tasks.
  2. Utilize CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment, monitoring, and rollback of applications and infrastructure.
  3. Create and manage automated workflows for system maintenance, configuration management, and application updates.
  4. Use configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef) to automate system configurations and ensure compliance.
  5. Leverage automated testing frameworks to validate the stability and performance of infrastructure and applications.
  6. Implement automated log analysis and alerting systems to detect anomalies and potential issues proactively.

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
• Diagnose and repair hardware problems on laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Manage user account lifecycles in Active Directory/Azure AD (onboarding, offboarding, permissions).
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate Tier 2 or Tier 3 support teams.
• Document all help desk interactions and resolutions in the IT service management (ITSM) tool.
• Install, configure, and support approved software and applications for end-users.
• Guide users through problem-solving steps and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with basic network connectivity troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN, wired).
• Set up and configure new workstations and laptops for employees.

• Serve as primary support contact for clients using our regulatory reporting products, resolving technical inquiries and guiding best practices.
• Advising clients on Windows and SQL Server installation and administration
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to data discrepancies, reporting logic, and system behavior, using internal tools, configuration review, and logs analysis.
• Development of automation solutions for clients

• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent support needs during weekends or outside of local business hours.
• Ensure seamless handover and coordination with other regions as part of the Follow the Sun support model.
• Support response efforts for high-priority or platform-wide incidents, maintaining clear internal communication and documentation.

• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing support processes and product features.
• Support the development of internal knowledge base content and client-facing documentation.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (preferred, but strong experience may substitute)
• 1 - 5 years of experience in customer service or working with financial software solutions.
• Experience working within a financial institution or bank is considered a strong asset.
• Basic understanding of banking products and processes
• High level of knowledge of database technology (Microsoft SQL Server) as a database administrator or developer
• Good level of programming skills in VBScript, Visual Basic (for Applications) or C# for automation solutions
• Strong analytical skills with a high affinity for code and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with technical troubleshooting (e.g. reviewing logs, user access, configurations, SQL queries)
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1 level), business fluent

• Proficiency in Excel as well as experience with treasury management systems
